North or South..what is it all about?

Taking note of where we started "our hometown" and headed in new directions, we already witnessed the diversities of this COUNTRY..in culture, religion, race and, the many differences in each community we have thus far encountered.  A taste of the beauty of Mid-America was such a new beginning for the two of us and how dialect was, for us, the most intriguing and how quickly it negotiated into our own, most especially with the young!
Louisville, Kentucky with its rich history of beautiful landscape, caverns, and, of course, the ever so prominent horse..so diffierent than our cajun alligators who have no desire to race!  The slow pace of the community was another awakening for us but, I feel certain, that things there as in many other places, have grown and changed in all aspects that we once knew those many years ago.
Schenectady, New York denied all of the stories we'd once heard of its appearances. We saw much more of the history of this Country there because there are so many cultural differences and the community, brimming with food delicacies we'd never heard of nor experienced. The awesome FALL where we witnessed for the first time the CHANGE OF SEASONS whose beauty cannot be captured in photographs but imbedded in the minds eye forever.  Oh, but wait, we were yet to experience the overwhelming vision of the winter there as though God wanted to wipe the slate clean of days past with sheets fresh and clean and WHITE. .SNOW soon to become soiled and trampled with life's daily tasks.
So, now it was time to "move on" ..but where? Our hopes were realized when this family's path was
chosen and we were off to our new home in JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI..now nearer "our hometown" and in the very deep SOUTH.
We now had a new perspective of life in AMERICA and deep appreciation for all of the differences we would've never had the opportunity to witness before.
Is it time to pause now to give thought to the question at hand..what is it all about..North or South..or
is it our Purpose to witness this country's beauty EVERYWHERE and BE GRATEFUL for the gifts we receive in every corner of this hemisphere.
